Memorial High School: A Legacy of Excellence

Established in 1957, Memorial High School in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, has been a pillar of the community for decades. As one of three high schools in the Eau Claire Area School District, Memorial was built to meet the needs of a growing population. Over the years, the school has seen numerous renovations and expansions, ensuring that its facilities remain state-of-the-art. A significant milestone was reached in June 2024, following a successful 2022 referendum, which led to major upgrades including a new turf football field and enhanced auditorium and cafeteria spaces.

Memorial High School is renowned for its academic rigor and diverse program offerings. Students have the opportunity to earn college credits through dual credit classes in partnership with Chippewa Valley Technical College. The school also boasts a robust Advanced Placement (AP) program, with about half of the student body enrolled in these challenging courses. Beyond academics, Memorial is celebrated for its exceptional music program, featuring competitive show choirs and multiple orchestras. In athletics, the school competes in the Big Rivers Conference and has a proud history of success, including state championships in boys' hockey and girls' cross country.
